Mutua Scriba Architects is a full service architectural and urban design firm based in Windhoek, Namibia. We deliver high performance solutions that are a successful synthesis of the client’s brief and economic aims, informed by context and user needs.

Our vision is to develop inclusive, responsible, resource efficient buildings and urban spaces that respond to their social and environmental context and that foster the growth of sustainable, healthy communities. We treat our clients’ work as if it is our own, and we pride ourselves in delivering innovative, distinctive architecture for both our new and returning clients who expect creative and service excellence.

We are currently one of the largest architectural firms in Namibia. With decades of combined expertise in the commercial, retail, public, healthcare, residential and leisure sectors, we have been involved in building projects across Namibia, South Africa, Angola and Ethiopia. Mutua Scriba Architects is registered with the Namibian Institute of Architects, the Namibian Council of Architects and Quantity Surveyors, and the South African Council for the Architectural Profession.

Our principal activity is providing the full range of professional architectural services, from project appraisal and concept design through to contract administration. Supplementary services include project management, urban design, interior design, custom made fittings, procurement and landscaping design. With the skills and resources to effect a quick turnaround, we service a broad spectrum of clients from the private and public sectors including corporates, charities, state owned enterprises and entrepreneurs.

We design buildings that are a critical response to the region in which they are located, free from pre-determined stylistic intent. Our high-performance building design solutions bring together the client’s brief, user needs, economic feasibility, and contextual responsiveness.

We believe in driving change. Change towards a more conscious, connected and responsible way of doing business. Diversity and empowerment are two of the cornerstones of our practice; and we actively invest in mentoring young talent to develop the professionals and leaders of the future.

We foster a collaborative, inclusive environment in which we aim to work efficiently and enjoyably, recognizing and respecting each other’s skills and contributions. Our staff comprises architects, senior technologists, interior designers, project management and administrative staff. Our company culture is open and transparent, and we are exceptionally proud of our high staff retention.

Beyond the workplace, Mutua Scriba Architects offers free architectural services to charitable organizations like the Hope Village in Katutura, Soutere, which offers shelter and support to AIDS orphans; and the ‘I am that I am’ Children’s Home. We recently completed a new chapel in Elisenheim; and are also carrying out architectural work for the Suiderhof Church and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Windhoek.
